Happy Valentines Day!
As the nation celebrates the affection we have for one another, I thought it appropriate that we consider our love for God. He certainly has shown us His love for us in Christ. We can show our love for Him by Living in Christ. As Christ showed His love for us in the way He was obedient to the Father's will, so also we can show our love for God in the way we live here on Earth. In Paul's letter to the Colossians, chapter 3:9-11, we learn of the renewing of our mind in the knowledge of the image of our Creator. As we learn the Word of God, we learn of the image of Christ that we have been called to live. Having put off the old self of the earthly natue and put on the new self created in Christ Jesus, we can begin to appear or live in a manner that resembles Christ like character. Our oneness with Christ spiritually should be demonstrated practically in our life style.
