Complete In Christ |

What better way to start out the New Year than to consider our completeness in Christ. The apostle Paul tells us about the work of God in Christ Jesus to complete the work of our redemption and identification in Christ. Being placed into Christ means that we have lost our identity as those who were condemned before God as sinners and now made righteous in Christ before God's throne. All of this and more is completely done by God as part of the salvation He provides for us by grace through faith. We will see in Colossians 2:11-15  how God has done this. From the Old Testament provision under the Mosaic Law requiring physical circumcision, we have been placed into the spiritual circumcision not done by hands but by God placing us into Christ's death, burial and resurrection. Our new identity is not a physical one, but a spiritual reality of being in the Body of Christ, the church of the Living God in this dispensation of Grace.
