Living In Christ Print E-mail
Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Does the idea of living a Godly life ever cross your mind? Beyond being saved, do you have any room for God in your life?  The apostle Paul begins chapter three of Colossians by telling us why we should put the truth he has taught them into practical use. Because of what he has said about them being in Christ, there is a life that should reflect it.  If we died with Christ on the cross and were buried in His tomb to be resurrected to a new life, then shouldn't that new life be evident in us? Do we have to wait until we have gone to Heaven either by our physical death or the Rapture to start living like the redeemed person He has made us?

Well, Paul seems to think by the leading of the Holy Spirit that we should begin to live like the person God has made us to be in Christ. We need to start setting our heart and mind on things above as the perspective on how we live or what we do here on Earth. Heaven's priorities and values should become ours.  We are God's people called to live a life worthy of the calling we have received in Christ  Jesus.

So, come on out Sunday morning, January 17th at 9:30am and take a look at Colossians 3:1-4 with us.  We would be glad to have you here.
